June book haul.

June was a busy month! But summer is here now, yaay!
I don't know about you, but summer equals reading in the sun for me.
So I prepared myself for 3 months of doing absolutely nothing!

I bought four books this past month. I've been waiting some time to order/read these
and I literally don't know why. I should've read them a long time ago,
but I'm 100% ready for some binge-reading!

The first book that I ordered (and I'm currently reading this one)
is City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare. I'm a huge fan of
The Mortal Instruments serie and I was addicted to them last year.
At the end of May, the last one finally came out. I ordered it as soon as I could
and I'm already half way through.
For those of you who don't know what The Mortal Instruments are about:
Clary thinks she's just an ordinary girl, but all of that changes when she meets Jace.
It turns out she's a Shadowhunter; half human, half angel. In this last book,
they try to stop a Shadowhunter who has the blood of the demon Lilith inside of him.
He raised an army of dark Shadowhunters. It's literally so exciting!

I thought it was about time I bought The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.
I've wanted to buy this book ever since it came out, but something always
got in the way somehow. But I really want to read the book before I go
and see the movie, so it was about time!
A lot of people think it's a book about cancer, but that isn't the main theme here.
The thing is, it's a love story. I haven't read it yet, but I'm well aware that I need
to get a box of Kleenex tissues before I start!

The next book that I bought was The Scorch Trials by James Dashner. It's
the second book of The Maze Runner trilogy which I am beyond excited about!
I didn't know about the books before they were to make a movie adaptation and
when I heard Dylan O'Brien was the main character, I bought the first one (woopsie).
I haven't read it yet, but it's The Hunger Games-ish and the story just sounds amazing!

The last book I ordered was Bad Girls Don't Die by Katie Alender. This book
is a bit out of my comfort zone because I don't really read a lot of thriller/paranormal books,
but I think it's quite an interesting book. It's about this girl, Alexis, whose
younger sister Kasey is obsessed with this antique doll. Suddenly things start to
change in the house, doors close by themselves, water starts boiling on an unlit stove,...
And the house is not the only thing that changes, Kasey starts changing too.
Her blue eyes turn green, she speaks in this old-fashioned language and she has
a lot of blackouts. Kasey is angry, and Alexis is about the only one who can stop her.
If the girl is still Kasey...

I hope this inspired you to pick up some books for summer!
Lots of love,
Yente.

My new ALDO bag

Out with the old, in with the new!
My Anna Field bag was just torn from using it everyday to go to school. So I decided
to go and look for a new bag that I could use for the same thing.

I browsed every website I knew for a nice bag when I finally found this beauty on ASOS.
The ALDO Reiten Bag in Black. At first I wasn't sure if it would do, because I always take my laptop with me. I have a 13" MacBook Air and the width of the bag is exactly 13".

When I opened my package I immediately thought it would be way too small,
but you'll be surprised what could fit in there. My MacBook fits perfectly and
all my essentials go in there as well and I can still easily close the zipper.
One of my friends said it's actually Mary Poppins' bag and it's actually true.
But shhh, don't tell! ;)

Lots of love,
Yente.
